OPENSSL_LOAD_BUILTIN_MODULES(3) Library Functions Manual OPENSSL_LOAD_BUILTIN_MODULES(3)

OPENSSL_load_builtin_modules, ASN1_add_oid_module, ENGINE_add_conf_moduleadd standard configuration modules

#include <openssl/conf.h>

void
OPENSSL_load_builtin_modules(void);

void
ASN1_add_oid_module(void);

void
ENGINE_add_conf_module(void);

The function () adds all the standard OpenSSL configuration modules to the internal list. They can then be used by the OpenSSL configuration code.

() adds just the ASN.1 OBJECT module.

() adds just the ENGINE configuration module.

If the simple configuration function OPENSSL_config(3) is called then () is called automatically.

Applications which use configuration functions like CONF_modules_load_file(3) directly need to call () themselves any other configuration code.

Applications should call OPENSSL_config(3) or () to load all configuration modules instead of adding modules selectively: otherwise functionality may be missing from the application when new modules are added.

CONF_modules_load_file(3), OPENSSL_config(3)

These functions first appeared in OpenSSL 0.9.7 and have been available since OpenBSD 3.2.
