DESCRIPTION
Thetolower()
function converts an upper-case letter to the corresponding lower-case letter.
RETURN VALUES
If the argument is an upper-case letter, the
tolower() function returns the corresponding
lower-case letter if there is one; otherwise the argument is returned
unchanged.
